The SAAB 37 Viggen is an aircraft that was ahead of its time. The unorthodox solutions chosen by its designers not only allowed the Viggen to meet the requirements placed on it, but in some parameters to surpass them. The Swedish Air Force ordered the Viggen in several versions, with the basic design of the aircraft forming a universal platform, which, supplemented with special equipment, allowed it to be used in several roles. The first of seven prototypes built took off on 8 February  1967, piloted by E. Dalsrtöm. The electronic equipment was one of the best in the world at the time, the Viggen was the first machine with a built-in computer with integrated circuits. The AJ 37 Viggen was the first to enter service with the Swedish Air Force, followed by the SK 37 - a two-seat fighter trainer, the SF 37 - a reconnaissance version with photographic equipment in a modified nose, and the SH-37 - an anti-ship version with different electronic equipment and anti-ship armament. About ten years after the first version entered service, the second generation of the Viggen, the JA 37 fighter version, was produced. It received modernized electronic equipment and a more powerful engine in a slightly extended fuselage. Older versions also received more modern electronic equipment, and the AJS 37, or ASFS and ASHS 37, were converted. Some of the two-seat training aircraft were converted to the SK-37E version for conducting and training electronic warfare. We now offer you the electronic warfare version, called the Stör-Viggen in Sweden, in a 1/72 model. The model is divided into ten sprues. The distinctive dashboard is provided by a 3D printed part. Decals and instructions allow you to choose between four different machines. Two have the classic splinter camouflage composed of several colours, two machines flew in a two-tone, grey-grey scheme, one decorated with lightning on the fin.
