Fairey Fulmar NF Mk.II

Royal Navy decided to convert part of the Fairey Fulmar Mk.II double seater fighters into night fighter version NF Mk.II. These machines were to escort and protect valuable ship convoys during night and bad weather. The modified machines were equipped with radar and particular “Tree” antennas mounted over and below the wing. Fulmars served for training and in small numbers were assigned to aircraft carriers.
